The club’s annual Fall Kick Off meeting and dinner is being held on Saturday, October 7th at the club’s farmland. This meeting is open to all club members to come out to learn what the club has been up to and learn about all the fun activities that are being planned for the fall/winter. Arrive around 5pm to mingle around, we will eat around 5:30 and the business meeting will occur around 6:30. The club will provide the main meal and drinks. Please bring a small dessert to share.
The board will be presenting an opportunity to change the bylaws of our organization regarding board member term limits.
As of today, board members are voted in for a 2-year term with an option for 2 more years if the member wishes to continue with their commitment. After the 4 years have expired, the board member is required to step off the board for at least one year.
Due to challenges the board is experiencing with getting volunteers to serve on the board, the current board would like to propose a change to the existing bylaws. The board is proposing the elimination of the one-year requirement off the board. The board member would have a year-to-year option (by election) to either continue or step off the board.
Please come to the Fall Kick Off meeting prepared to vote on this bylaw change.
